Electricity generation using fossil fuels (oil, coal and gas), which emit greenhouse gases (GHG). Transportation and industry are the main agents of pollution. For this reason we must dramatically reduce our greenhouse gas emissions, an important measure both from the standpoint of environmental, social and economic.
According to the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC), the forum of experts from the United Nations, an increase in global temperature is expected during the next 100 years up to 5.8 degrees Celsius, an increase much faster than that experienced up now in the history of mankind.
